My service and coaching philosophy
I am very passionate about a sustainable and natural way to have holistic wellness in fitness and health. I would not say I’m your every day coach that will simply give you some workout plan with reps and sets for the gym and have you counting calories and macronutrients. I have that kind of option for some specific physical goals or needed to treed some kind of disease like diabetes 2 for example.
I’m hoping I can give my clients some guidance on how to live healthily and bring fitness into their lives instead of the gym. My approach is ancestral health philosophy which means you follow the blueprint that our hunter-gatherer ancestor laid out for us before the civilization technology, Vehicles and other uniquely modern chronic conditions. This way we should be able to stay lean/fit and age gracefully. It isn’t very or complicated at all!
It really is just MOVE, lift and stay away from fake food! It’s not a coincidence that even for the fact there are more gyms, medications, trainers, techniques, supplements and ”SECRETS” available now than ever that we are only getting unhealthier, sicker, fatter and more depressed.
I’m not saying these things don’t work as a tool in your quest for fitness and health, but it’s more about our disbelieves in ourselves and unattainable belief in these tools.
They are not part of our history, evolution or build into our DNA memories.
Though Some people love to go to the gym 5 times a week and build bulky muscles and do the same repetitions day after day, year after year, we all know nothing one fits all, we are all different and have unlike tolerance and patience for activities and things. These people can often look quite good but they don’t have to be healthy. I know because I’ve been there. Read more about it in my history!
My passion is ancestral health, living optimal gene active life, thriving instead of surviving, feeling empowered instead of discouraged with lifestyle diseases and finding comfort in discomfort where we can be emerged with eustress instead of distress if not finding that comfort.

- Have a video-chat every 2 weeks and possible contact 7 days a weak through ZenFit and email.

Im Hilmir Petersen Hjálmarsson and Im the person behind this coaching page. Im grateful that you are taking the time and investing in my words by reading about me. I guess and hope you are here now because you have found something of value about my page and feel like I might have something meaningful or useful to offer you and your journey to holistic health.
Im born 12th may, 1982 on a beautiful day, I had a pretty normal childhood and was a positive and creative boy with problems on concentrating. That means, sitting still and only use my brain for a very localised and narrow focus on given task. But I loved to do play, do puzzles and create or build stuff in some sense.
I developed a very low self-esteem after having problem with the education system, with poor grades and embarrassment outcomes in school. I literally believed and lived after that identity, Im stupid and wouldn’t amount to anything worthy.
After I manage to build up my self-esteem on a very fragile foundation by being good at sports and a bright upcoming star in basketball , I got injured after an assault which put a stopp to my journey to a successful basketball career. Not the injury it self was enough after a incredible recovery, but it would always have some negative affect and I was nowhere close to be mature enough to face this challenge and lost my way in self pity and vigtim mindset.
At this time I had already given up on going the education way, so when the doctor actually said to my 20 years old that I would probably never play basketball again or be able to do any intense physical activities… I broke!!!
Later in life I got very depressed and lost in my ways, not following my passion or not following my heart on the road to my passion where my being would thrive, where I would be empowered waking up, so my spirit or soul started to deteriorate in some sense. I got very depressed up to the point I planned my way out and have been dealing with depression for 12 years.
But I felt and knew deep inside I was ment for something bigger, and I had the heart and the right characteristic to make a difference in the world.
Today finally… Im feeling better then ever in all senses off my health. I have reached this by implementing trough the years: meditation, mindfulness, breathing, Cold exposures, outdoors, nature, movement, thankfulness and mindful way off eating with emphasis on plant-based diet and holistic fitness into my life. Just now when writing this Im feeling more appreciation for myself and how far I have become. This sounds like a lot but it isn´t when apart of your lifestyle and the volume of every practice variates with life and different eras.
Now I live in the arms off the forrest with my beautiful girlfriend and lovely newborn son where I strive to follow my passion or helping others to live healthy.
I feel like my years off growth, recovery and work to get healthy has given me a great knowledge to help others, plus it´s such a passion of mine to learn about the human biology and the best way to live healthy from ancestral point off view. I love researching ancient ways to prepare wood, move and socialise that I try implement in my live and practice in the best way possible.
